Und dass er deshalb den Gouverneur bittet, den Osterbesuch des Zaren in der Stadt abzusagen, das geht entschieden zu weit. Doch weitere grausame Morde scheinen Fandorins Theorie zu bestätigen. Boris Akunin geniesst in seiner Heimat geradzu legendäre Popularität und wurde 2001 zum Schriftsteller des Jahres gewählt.-
