Stephan R. Bellem wurde 1981 in Heidelberg geboren. Nach dem Abitur schloss er zunächst eine Lehre als Bankkaufmann ab, kehrte der Finanzwelt dann allerdings den Rücken, um Soziologie zu studieren. Zur Schriftstellerei kam er mit dreizehn Jahren - zunächst in Form von kurzen Texten für Rollenspiele oder Kurzgeschichten. Er lebt in Leipzig. Sein Roman "Tharador wurde beim Deutschen Phantastik Preis 2008 mit dem zweiten Platz in der Kategorie "Bester deutschsprachiger Roman ausgezeichnet. www.srbellem.de
