Alternative description
In a revelation given in 1831, the Lord said, Though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the voice of my servants, it is the same (D&C 1:38; emphasis added). Since the early days of the Restoration, Latter-day Saints have come to appreciate that the mantle to authoritatively expound the gospel rests on fifteen chosen men the prophets, seers, and revelators of the Church. This book by the Religious Studies Center at BYU contains selected messages by prophets, seers, and revelators given over the past 35 years that discuss the vital topics of teaching, learning, and scripture.
