description
Abstract: A diet and exercise campaign presented in a military style encourages Americans to end the battle of the bulge. Dieters enlist in a weight loss approach which relies on an "I can do it" attitude to help them reach their final weight goal (V day). The enemy is identified (the calories and its abuses), the battle plan is implemented (the exchange system of dieting) and the big push for diet and exercise is on. Readers are briefed on weight control strategies, eating habits, and how to handle AWOL (diet relapses). The "Chow" section features calorie-counted recipes which make menu planning and K.P. duty easy. This war on weight is meant to be enjoyed
